We hold a strong commitment to young people. We offer a wide array of opportunities for youth to explore their personal faith and their connection to the Church and wider community. Youth groups gather monthly for meals, fellowship and planning.

Groups also organize several mission projects throughout the year including their Summer Mission Trips.

Youth Bible Study

Youth bible studies are offered once a month during worship for Mid-High and Sr-High Youth.

BBQ (Bounce Bible Quest) – Mid High Youth
Explores Bad Days to Good Days, using Biblical stories to show how God works through us to make things better.

GAS (God And Stuff) – Senior High Youth
Dives into Questions of Faith, using the video series "re:form" from Spark House Publishing.

Youth Mission Trip - Second Harvest Minneapolis, MN

Confirmation Class Receives Prayers of Congregation.

Confirmation

Classes are offered for young people, 8th grade or older, interested in confirming their faith and becoming active members of First Congregational UCC and the wider Church. Classes run from February through May.

OWL

Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a comprehensive sexuality education program created by a joint effort of the United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universalist Association. First Congregational Church offers this class to 7th, 8th and 9th graders every other year.

Celebrations Ringers

Youth in this bell choir (5th – 12th Grade) learn basic ringing techniques for both chimes and handbells.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir welcomes youth, ages 15 years and older. This choir rehearses weekly and sings in worship on Sunday mornings from September through May.
