Our ministers, Curt Anderson and Eldonna Hazen are
the spiritual leaders at First Congregational
Church. They plan and lead the worship services, meet with
members and friends of the church to discuss spiritual questions
and issues as well as plan and lead adult Christian Education
offerings. The senior minister also serves as the chief administrative
officer of the church and is responsible for the activities
of the rest of the staff. Our associate minister works closely
with our lay ministry team to bring the news and caring of
our congregation to members who have mobility limitations
due to illness, injury or the aging process.
Our program
staff, Don DeBruin, Director of Music Ministries, and Jeff
Rabe, Director of Christian Education for Children and Youth
share their particular gifts throughout the life
of the congregation. Music and Christian Education play important
roles both on Sunday morning and during other church activities.
Our support
staff includes a Secretary/Administrator, a Building Manager, and a Bookkeeper who provide
support to the rest of the staff as well as members and friends
of the congregation. They are responsible for communications,
scheduling, upkeep of the church building and church financial
affairs.
Our lay leadership makes
up the Executive Council and various church
boards and taskforces. The members of the congregation serving
in these leadership roles make decisions on the congregation's
behalf in between regular congregational meetings. The Moderator
is the chief executive officer of the congregation and leads
the monthly meetings of the Executive Council and acts on
the Council's behalf in signing contracts and agreements.
The Moderator, Moderator Elect and ministers meet on a regular
basis to make plans and consider issues in the broader community
that affect the congregation. |
